Uss Bowfin Submarine Museum - (808) 423-1341

The ambiance of this submarine, still sitting in the waters of Pearl Harbor will take your breath away. The courteous and knowledgable staff will walk you through the submarine and self-guided tours are conducted through this immaculate vessel with headphones and a running tape of the sub's features. Not only can you walk through the sub, you can have a bite to eat at one of the hot dog stands and visit the museum and gift shop to take home a replica of the original newspaper from December 7, 1941. It's definitely a must see and close to the USS Arizona Memorial Park.

The USS Missouri Tour is awesome. When you go on the tour of this large ship it makes you feel as if you're going back in time to WWII. The ship is so large and there are so many rooms and compartments. It is interesting to see where the crew slept, the bunks are so small and cramped! The mess hall below deck is really big. The guns are really large and you can understand how powerful this ship was during WWII.

I think this exhibit is satisfactory because the submarine is very small and claustrophobic. I thought the submarine would be bigger but it is very small and old. You get to hold a radio device that explains where you are in the submarine and before you know it, the tour is over.
