Honolulu Hawaii Marriott Hotel

Located on Kalapaki Beach, the resort is the only hotel in the state to have recently installed a waterfront fireplace that features a function room directly in the sand. Hawaiian comfort cuisine inspired by the islands, and features a full service restaurant and a wide selection of dishes from local and international chefs. The collaboration with celebrity chef Sam Choy is the first of its kind in Hawaii and one of only a handful of such restaurants in North America.

The renovated Kona Moku Ballroom features a glass chandelier and lanai overlooking the lobby and new water features. The new ballroom offers a view of Kaunaoa Bay and the coast through floor-to-ceiling windows. Wailea's original resort has been modernised to include two new hotel rooms, one with newly designed rooms and suites, the other with a new pool and spa. It also features Hawaii's newest pool complex, which includes a 1,000-square-foot pool, 2,500-foot spa and outdoor pool.

The physical improvements at the resort have been combined with new guest experiences, including the Kauai Outdoors package, the first of its kind in Hawaii. The Kauai Outdoor package allows guests to go tubing in the Kaua'i hinterland, as well as hiking, biking, kayaking and skiing on the beach.

The resort also introduced the resort's Copper Bar, including blending honey from The Mauna Kea Resort beekeeping facility, a full-service restaurant and bar.

As part of the renovation, a new espresso bar has been opened at the resort, which has been transformed into a sunset cocktail lounge. The resort continues to show off improvements as it undergoes its $22 million redevelopment, including a converted function room, new restaurants, a brand new bar and lounge and more.
